Sarah Holtzclaw with the Partnership to end Poverty is here to talk about the new "Bank on Central Oregon" program to help get low income people bank accounts. The program "Bank on Central Oregon" hopes to get low income families to stop wasting money on check cashing fees. Lots of banks are partnering to do this now in Central Oregon. They're dropping fees so that low income families don't get charged to cash checks. Senator Jeff Merkley was here yesterday to "kick off" the program.
