Jonathan Bellemore is the meteorologist and co-anchor for KOHD News Daybreak, Monday through Friday from 5:30-7am. He joins KOHD from North Kingstown, Rhode Island where he served as an Assistant Meteorologist. Jonathan is a graduate of Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida where he received a Bachelors of Science degree in Environmental Sciences and Meteorology. While attending Florida Tech, Jonathan gained plenty of forecasting experience by participating in the National College Forecasting Contest. He is also an active member of the American Meteorological Society (AMS).

Jonathan loves all kinds of active weather - from hurricanes to nor' easters. In fact, Hurricane Bob in 1992 which ran through his home state of Rhode Island was the leading factor in sparking his interest in meteorology. His favorite interests in meteorology are coastal winter storms, terrain enhanced storm effects and lake/ocean effects on forecasting.

Jonathan adopted Kohdy the "Weather Dog" from the Central Oregon Humane Society here in Bend. He loves to go skiing and snow-shoeing in the winter and can't get enough of the sunshine in the summer. Hiking, camping and mountain biking are some of his favorite summertime activities - mainly because Kohdy can get involved. Remember, you can watch Jonathan and Kohdy on Daybreak from 5:30-7am, Monday-Friday mornings.
