Guests dining at Tumalo Feed Company last night got quite the dinner entertainment. Just before seven o'clock a car drove right up the ramp toward the main entrance. The owner of the restaurant told KOHD, Gail Wickman was pulling into a stall and pushed on the gas instead of the break and as she did so she panicked and pushed the gas even harder taking out half the patio entrance. "All of a sudden it sounded like a stampede of horses coming through- kaboom-- you know just this noise, horrible like Mt. St. Helens was errupting and then crash and then all this smell of smoke and like something was going to start on fire," said Carol Lang who was eating at the restaurant at the time of the crash.
Clean up started early Sunday morning and the owner said he planned to resume business as usual Sunday afternoon, opening the doors back up at four o'clock. The estimated cost in damage is still unknown. The driver was cited for Reckless Driving and Reckless Endangering.
