UPDATE:

An update in the Bend home burglary of  $2 million in gold, jewelry, silver, and precious coins last September.   During the initial investigation, 1200 lbs. of silver had been recovered.  Both Connie and Dakotah Yarborough have been previously arrested for this case back in September of 2008.  Connie was sentenced for her part in February of 2009.  Dakotah is awaiting sentencing on 22 charges to include Burglary in the first degree.  They were known to the victim.

On Friday, May 22, the Bend Police Department recovered an additional twenty 1 oz. American Eagle Gold Bullion coins (worth current market value of approximately $963.00 per coin) and approximately $200,000 in jewelry in connection with this case.

The citizens of Bend can stop digging for buried treasure. Bend Police believe all recoverable property has been located and collected. The last of the gold and jewelry was buried near Tumalo Falls and covered by snow until today.

With the exception of the stolen property that was sold by the suspects in September 2008, the total value of recovered property is conservatively estimated at $1.5 million.

The victim in this case assures detectives the jewelry and precious metals are now safely secured in safety deposit boxes.
