A Bend couple found a dog dehydrated, hungry, muddy and had scrapes on his legs. After they gave the dog some water, he jumped into their car and they drove him to the Bend Veterinary Clinic.
The dog had a collar and veterinary tags on him, but no name or contact information. A vet checked his wounds and scanned him for a microchip. Lucky for him, his owner did have him micro chipped.
The vet called the microchip company and got all of his owner's information. The dog is named Buster and he lives over 550 miles away, in Pocatello, ID. Bend Veterinary Clinic contacted the owner, and with a grateful and teary voice, was amazed that his dog was found and doing well. He is making arrangements to come to Bend and pick up his loyal companion, Buster.
Buster apparently jumped from his owner's car as he was traveling through the Bend area. His owner spent three days searching for him.
