On 101709 at about 05:15 hours, Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office deputies received a report that Aaron Allred, from Washington State, was stalking and threatening an ex-girlfriend in the Terrebonne area by making repeated phone calls to her. She also reported Allred drove by her residence, throwing a rock through a window. He then entered her vehicle and stole her car keys. Based on Allred’s repeated phone calls and actions his girlfriend reported being in fear for her safety.

Sheriff’s deputies began an investigation into the allegations while Allred made repeated calls to his girlfriend throughout the early morning hours of 101709. During the investigation deputies learned Allred had an outstanding felony warrant out of Multnomah County. At one point he requested to meet his ex-girlfriend in the Terrebonne area. Sherriff Office deputies, with assistance from the Redmond Police Dept., observed the area where Allred was believed to be headed.

At about 05:15 hours, a Deschutes County Deputy located the vehicle operated by Allred in Terrebonne. The deputy attempted a traffic stop on Allred, who then fled northbound on Highway 97 toward Culver. The deputy, with the assistance from the Redmond Police Department, The Oregon State Police, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and Madras Police Department pursued Allred.

During the pursuit, one of Allred’s tires began to deflate and another one deflated after Allred drove over “spike strips.” He continued to flee from deputies and eventually lost control of his vehicle and drove into a field in the area of the Culver Hwy/Eureka Lane.

As a result of the crash, Allred received minor injuries and was transported to Pioneer Memorial hospital for evaluation. There were no other vehicles or persons involved in the crash. Allred has been lodged at the Deschutes County Jail on the above listed charges. The investigation into this incident is continuing and additional charges are possible.
