COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. -- Cottage Grove Police have recovered over a hundred pieces of jewelry and collectibles after catching the suspect of numerous theft and burglary operations in Lane County. Some property has already been identified, but now the police needs the public's help in identifying the rest of the items.
The suspect, James Harrel, was arrested on October 21, while driving recklessly and trying to escape arrest. Inside Harrel's vehicle, police found stolen jewelry and collectibles, including rings, necklaces, and buttons.
On Thursday, November 19, 2009 from 1:00pm - 4:00 pm, the Cottage Grove Police Department will have a public viewing of the remaining property. Victims of theft or burglaries within the last six months are invited to view the property and help identify whether or not it belongs to them.
