Paintball guns stolen from Eugene church, again

EUGENE, Ore. -- The pastor of a Eugene church says he is going to find a safer place to store property after thieves made off with dozens of paintball guns for the second year in a row.

Westside Baptist Church Senior Pastor Greg Kaminski says burglars have swiped more than $20,000 worth of items from church property in three separate incidents since last December.

The problems started nearly a year ago when someone broke into a storage shed and made away with various items worth about $10,000 that included 40 paintball guns used at annual summer youth camps.

This week, nearly 40 more paintball guns were stolen from a locked storage shed behind the church.

Kaminski hopes that speaking publicly about the burglaries might boost the chance the paintball guns will be returned.
