Dozens dance for haiti relief in Bend on Sunday. It was an instructional workshop in Zumba and Nia dance styles put on at the Bend Senior Center. The fundraiser benefits World Relief Next, which is a local chapter of World Relief, an organization that's providing water and meals for Haitians effected by the earthquake.
Participants donated at least ten dollars to dance. Zumba is a relatively new dance style catching on in Central Oregon.
"It's not only Latin, we involve dances from Africa, from Israeli background, all kinds of places and it tends to be the most popular in latin and hip hop style," said organizer Charlene Schulz.
Donations are still being accepted for the next week. Please contact Charlene Schultz for more information: charschulz@gmail.com or 541-390-3046
