A Bend based company is gearing up to show off its technology at the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network Venture conference in Portland next month. Proxense is one of ten companies chosen to pitch their inventions at this conference. Founder John Giobbi began work on his product five years ago. He'll be showing off this pocket-sized wireless transmitter. Since December the Bend Memorial Clinic has been testing it out. It's designed to help cut down the amount of time doctors spend logging on and off their computers. "With our technology as they approach a work station they're automatically authenticated so we know for sure it's really who we think they are and then they're software launches and it logs them in automatically," said Giobbi.
In the future Giobbi hopes to expand to patients, allowing you to have all your medical records on one little chip making it easier when you go to a new doctor.
