SALEM, Ore. -- State Schools Superintendent Susan Castillo announced Friday that student graduation rates are on the rise.
The four-year graduation rate for 2011 was up to 67 percent -- a rise of a percentage point from 2010.
Castillo says all of the state's historically underperforming subgroups saw increases in their graduation rates and in many cases their graduation rates grew faster than for the state overall, indicating a slight closing of the graduation gap.
Oregon also hit an all-time low in the number of students dropping out of high school.

Wow, this is wonderful news!
Wow, this is wonderful news! To what to we owe this kind of success? Once we know what generated these results we'll be able to improve things even further. I graduated from online masters in nursing this year and I am from Oregon, was the online education included in this research?
