Arrest in Multiple Burglaries

08/11/09 Sisters

A Crimestoppers tip led Deschutes County Sheriff Deputies to arrest two Sisters residents in connection to four burglaries.  Based on the citizen tip, suspects were identified and later arrested for burglaries that occurred at Depot Deli (door kick, nothing taken), Martolli's Pizza (door kick, money taken), and Steve Rollins Automotive (door kick, cash register with no cash taken).  Both suspects were also arrested for criminal mischief that occurred at Bronco Billy's (tampering with electrical panel) as well as criminal mischief to a parked vehicle in the area (metal grate through window).

Prior to the arrests of the above mentioned suspects, additional crimes of a similar pattern were discovered on August 1, 2009 at Angeline's Bakery (object thrown through front window), and an additional burglary at Martolli's Pizza (door kick, cash money taken).  No arrests have been made regarding these newer crimes, but the sheriff's office investigation is ongoing and will focus on whether the arrested subjects may be responsible for these crimes as well.

Detectives have recovered a cash register belonging to Steve Rollins Automotive and additional arrest(s) are anticipated.

Arrested were, 25 year old Daniel P. Rasberry on charges of  Burg 2nd Degree x3 counts; Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree x5;  Theft 2nd Degree; (Released on own-recognizance) and 19 year old Ilia P. Caula-Fernandez on charges of  burg 2nd Degree x3 counts;  Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree x5; Theft 2nd Degree;  (Released on own-recognizance).
