Your Voice: State Economy Outlook

08/27/09

The latest state revenue forecast is out and while the job loss has been dramatic, the state economist notes the bulk of Oregon's share of the federal stimulus package is starting to be spent.  We ask how you feel about the future of the economy in Oregon?

"Well I truly don't know how things are going to turn out for myself, I just trust in the lord. I just pray that things even out but I have no idea. It doesn't look too good right now but who knows, things might turn around," says Malichi Smith of Redmond.

"I think I'm just trying to be positive and be home with my kids and just trying to assume that things are going to get better so that's what I'm hoping," says Aria Baker of Bend.
