September 24, 2009 - Bend
Bob Maxwell, a WWII medal of honor recipient is here on D.C. to talk about what it's like being a veteran and his return from the medal of honor society convention. Bob is one of 22 living medal of honor recipients. Lots of work is going on around here to help veterans, including the new memorial in downtown Bend that's being built. Only 3,447 in American history have ever been awarded the Medal of Honor. He was an Army Technician, Fifth Grade; born in Idaho.
