You Ask. We Answer.

In this ‘You Ask; We Answer' Scott says, "I was wondering if you could find out the answers to a couple of questions.  They are about the parkway and the incomplete and confusing stripping.  I don't know if you have noticed the dotted lines that have been painted on some of the on ramps.  Instead of having the standard dashed white lines on the on ramps to indicate the merge lanes they have painted a long line of dots.  This makes it very confusing for folks trying to merge.  Secondly, could you find out when they plan on finishing the stripping work on the parkway?"

When the weather turned cold, ODOT had to stop painting.  They had been working on the parkway at night to minimize the impact on traffic.  Completion is weather dependent and may be delayed until spring.

"There's the paint that our ODOT crews will be putting down and they will do that as weather permits up until it's just too cold to paint, and then next construction season we will come back with a very highly reflective tape," says Peter Murphy with ODOT.

ODOT has put white stripes on the main parkway.
