This past weekend I met up with some friends from college in California. One of my best friends just recently moved to Los Angeles for work, and I told her I would find a weekend to come visit. It was great timing because four of my other close friends were able to get time off work and we all met in LA.
I love getting together with old friends, somehow it's like time stands still and you pick up right where you left off. The two days flew by as we were busy sightseeing (Grauman's Chinese Theatre, Kodak Theatre, Hollywood Blvd), shopping and most importantly: eating. There are so many great restaurants to try and I always like to say "when you're on vacation..splurge!" We joked about planning our days around our meals. My favorite of the trip was a hole in the wall Chinese restaurant downtown. Their specialty was "slippery shrimp" (I'm not sure how it got the name, because I had no problem getting a hold of them), it was delicious. The last night we visited a bake shop, "Crumbs." They had a variety of cupcakes so big you had to share.

I love catching up with my best girlfriends, the majority of them live in Arizona and California so whenever we can meet for a weekend, it's always a great time.
