Medical marijuana dispensaries are illegal in the state of Oregon. The law prohibits the sale of medical marijuana for a profit. According to the Hemp and Cannabis Foundation, there is an effort to change that. Two versions of the Oregon cannabis tax act may reach ballots within a year creating dispensaries that operate much like liquor stores.
