This weekend in Dallas Oregon, Governor Ted Kulongoski saw off about a hundred Oregon National Guard Troops. The Oregon Army National Guard's 162 Engineer Company will be deployed to Afghanistan to clear road side bombs over the next year. Over fifteen hundred friends and family packed into the Dallas High School gymnasium, to see them off during a mobilization ceremony. The Governor promised to provide support to the troops' families while they're away. Several world war two veterans were also at the ceremony to honor the National Guard Troops.
