First Of Its Kind Tech Opportunity

03/14/2010

It's a first of its kind for tech professionals and start up organizations here in Central Oregon.

A co working environment designed to allow people to rent space on a monthly basis while networking with other tech professionals.

'TechSpace Bend' will open Monday for its first full week in the Old Cigar Building in Downtown Bend. The non profit group already has some of it's desk space rented out as the group works to meet what they say is a need in the community, those needing a space to work outside their homes.

"This a fairly new idea and I would say we are one of a handful of communities across the Country especially for the size of Bend that is actually participating in a co-working environment. Right now we're targeting entrepreneurs and professionals and small companies that need a space to grow and interact with their peers and experience the network effects there," says Lewis Howell, Co Founder.

The space offers lease prices starting at $75 dollars a month and is sponsored by EDCO, Bend Tech  and The Bend Venture Conference. The offices have a modern flare that will feature local artists each month.
