I do think there is a problem with the whole meth thing. Not so much for the other 'hard' narcotics. I dont see a problem at all with the marijuana issue. When will prohibition end?
Problem?
Marsha@CRR Wow, what a question. Who, in their right mind doesn't think there is a drug problem here? OK, so one person raised their hand. What does Central oregon expect? It does not take a genius to figure out that the bigger the population, the more crime. Everyone here that could make money off the land has built. We got business galore, yet we are now sitting with empty buildings, and no jobs. Yet, they still built. All those houses in Bend and Redmond? Who lives in them? Renters! Yes, the investors bought them and rent them to people who, by large numbers, do not contribute to the community. they suck our schools dry, and make out police work overtime. When you have lots of poeple with no pride in their community, you have the big city atmosphere happening...that includes drugs. One example...In 1992 I drove by Redmond HS, and was pleased to see how the teens were dressed. A lot of the "country" look, clean and neat. Now, drive by and see the "thug" look. No, I am not saying they are all bad, I am saying lots od the drug families have moved in. The CO locals tried to fight all this, but those who want to make the big bucks just ignored them. Now, lots of good people have left their home area, knowing the area was going to the dogs. Will we stop ths curse...NO Way!
